ChatGPT Removed the One Thing Holding Me Back

A lot of the time, we don’t fail to start something because we lack the desire — but because we don’t understand how.
How do I actually go about this? What are the steps to get from here… to there? Whatever “there” may be.

That was me just 14 days ago.
I had decided I wanted to start a YouTube channel. But I had no idea where to begin — and that unknown was paralyzing.

Then I Turned to ChatGPT

It didn’t give me a master plan or some overnight hack for success. But it did do something even more important:
It gave me a starting point.

As someone who’s far from tech-savvy, I was totally intimidated by the idea of filming, editing, uploading, and even writing titles and descriptions. I had no clue how the algorithm worked or what I needed to do first.

ChatGPT demystified all of that.
It broke things down in a way I could understand — one step at a time.
It turned this vague, overwhelming “thing” into something I could actually wrap my head around.

It didn’t do the work for me. But it helped me realize I could.

A Disclaimer — Because This Matters

AI is just a tool.

You still have to think. You still have to supplement it with research, creativity, and a willingness to dig deeper.

Without that, it won’t take you anywhere meaningful — and might even make you more confused than before.

But if you do have a baseline of curiosity and a willingness to learn, then ChatGPT (and AI in general) can supercharge your progress.

For me, it removed a barrier I didn’t even realize was there.

It’s not Google.
It’s a conversation.

And if you know how to use that conversation well, it can take you far.

Final Thoughts

If there’s something you’ve been thinking of doing — starting a YouTube channel, writing a book, launching a side project — I highly recommend trying out an AI tool to get unstuck.

The information is already out there. But these tools help you ask better questions, make better plans, and take your first steps with more confidence.

Think of AI the way people thought of the internet when it first came out:
The people who ignored it got left behind.
The ones who learned to adapt? They thrived.

The world is changing — fast. And AI isn’t going anywhere.

So the real question is: how are you going to use it?
